What inspired you to start in real estate and how did you motivate yourself to keep going?
My career in real estate got After Graduating in 2009 with a degree in International Marketing in Brazil I came to USA and studied Fashion Design.
I’ve been in the Luxury Real Estate Market for almost 12 years. An Entrepreneur at heart, I now own The Elite Partners – brokered by eXp Realty. We specialize in high-end homes and luxury high rise properties. In addition to the creation of my real estate company I also enjoy investing in the United States, Italy and Brazil.
Looking back, what could you have done sooner to get to that point quicker?
Life is a journey! I try not to reflect to much on doing things quicker and faster but, rather embrace the process and remember the transition points that have gotten me to where I am today. It is the experiences in life that make us who we are. I’ve worked through my share of personal transitions, often having to rebalance, realign and reset in order to get to where I am today. These points can often be looked at as slowing down the process towards success however I would rather remember how they have molded me into who I am today and what I have become and achieved. To think about how things could have been done differently or more quickly can easily take me off point from where I am working to get to!
What should other real estate entrepreneurs reading this be focusing on to expand their own business?
In a word? Skillset. We are all unique! The things that have brought success to my career are most likely different than what will bring success to others. Mentorship and coaching are great resources when building a business however the greatest question we can ask ourselves is how we can take the
knowledge we’ve been given by those around us and implement it into the personal skillsets we as individuals hold.
How has social media and online marketing affected your real estate business? How much more success have you had now after implementing social media and online marketing efforts?
Being a successful entrepreneur in the luxury real estate and lifestyle influencer is all about building my brand, and one of the biggest benefits of social media is the opportunity to reach a large number of people within seconds of posting a reel or ad. If done properly, you have the chance to both connect with your followers as well as expand your audience.
Social media has become the most influential and important virtual space where the platform is not only used for social networking but is also a great way of digitally advertising my brand and my services. Social media offers multiple benefits to agents. These can include the ability to increase brand visibility as well as increase networking capabilities; another critical aspect of selling in real estate.
Social media has helped me attract the right customers by showcasing my services or listings to potential clients by simply sharing important, relevant, and attractive content. This has effectively boosted my social media presence. I always include high-quality images and videos of the properties that I or my business partners have listed.
Another benefit of social media is the ability to interact and allow my audience to get to know me better. There is a real opportunity to build a relationship with them and allows us to connect on a more personal level than other marketing avenues. It is exactly what I need as an entrepreneur in this digitally connected world.
I have grown my social media networks by simply being consistent and posting interesting and relatable content for my audience. The right strategy and effective marketing has helped me increase the traffic on my profiles, which lead them to my website.
How did you build your team?
Networking, connecting with others, finding those with a similar mindset and ambition! These are a few of the ways our team has grown over time. The more individuals I can connect with the greater the pool resources to pull from and grow. I’ve often said, “Just tell enough people and the right people where
you want to go, and you will get there.” Our team continues to grow through communication with others and sharing the vision for where we are headed.
How did you become a good leader?
Great leaders understand the balance between delivering powerful content to educate their team while holding themselves accountable in the way they conduct themselves and their daily activities. Teams often look towards their leader and emulate what they see. I often remind myself that my team’s success not only comes through the information shared but rather the way business is being conducted each and every day. The three virtues in our mission include being passionate, being truthful and being of service.
Did You Experience Failures? If So, What Did You Learn From Them?
Failure is a word I very rarely use as I believe it can only be applied when you suspend your effort for the goals you’ve set for yourself. At times I’ve found myself diverted from my original path. I’ve learned the importance of reflection and assessment in the actions I take in achieving my goals. If we do not take the time to evaluate and redirect (when needed) we can find ourselves off course in a big way. Any ambition towards great success requires regular evaluation and redirect in order to stay the course.
What do you consider the main differences between those people who have been successful in your industry and those who have failed?
Success comes through those that are strategically action oriented; understanding how to implement the tools they’ve been given to obtain the goals they have set for themselves. I often ask myself, “Gaby, what have you done today to cultivate and build the business you desire?” If the tangible results are not there I must re evaluate my actions and reset accordingly.
What’s Your Approach To Marketing?
There are three main components I focus on when marketing. They include my marketing budget, the avenues in which to market (social media, print, radio, T.V.) and consistency. You must have your finger on the pulse of each of these areas in order to create a successful marketing campaign.
